Through collaborative engagements with students, teachers, local leaders, and health workers, the organization is nurturing a greener, more sustainable future. Below is a highlight of recent and ongoing activities carried out by the dedicated Earth Guard Initiative team.
Tree Planting and Sensitization at Gombe UMEA–Butambala
The initiative kicked off with a sensitization session at Gombe UMEA in Butambala, educating learners on the importance of tree planting. Students participated in planting and watering trees, fostering ownership and environmental responsibility among the young generation.
Engagement at Kyansanku Hill College – Mpigi
The Earth Guard Initiative team conducted a series of activities at Kyansanku Hill College, including site assessment, sensitization of teachers and students, and preparing learners for the tree planting exercise. The enthusiasm shown by students highlighted the growing awareness of environmental protection.
Tree Planting at Mpigi UMEA Primary School
At Mpigi UMEA Primary School, the team held a sensitization session focusing on the urgent need for reforestation. The Headmistress actively participated in the planting activity, setting a powerful example for her students.
Environmental Action at St. Theresa Secondary School – Katende
The initiative extended its activities to St. Theresa Secondary School in Katende, where students engaged in planting tree seedlings and learning about their long-term environmental value.
Home of Hope and Dreams Orphanage – Tree Planting
The organization also visited Home of Hope and Dreams Orphanage, encouraging children to plant fruit and shade trees within their environment, contributing to both ecological and nutritional benefits.
Tree Planting at St. Kizito Primary School – Mpigi
Through site assessment and planning, the Earth Guard Initiative guided students and teachers at St. Kizito Primary School in planting trees to increase green cover and create a cleaner learning environment.
Community Participation at St. Charles Lwanga Seki Wunga Primary School
Both teachers and students participated actively in the tree planting activity, demonstrating strong community support for environmental conservation.

Health workers joined the initiative by planting fruit trees such as mangoes, symbolizing the link between public health and environmental health.

The team conducted a brief sensitization session that encouraged learners to take part in restoring their natural environment through tree planting.
Fruit Tree Planting at Friendship Academy Primary School – Mpigi
The activity included digging tree ditches and planting fruit trees, emphasizing long-term sustainability and community empowerment.
Environmental Sensitization at Galatia C/U Primary School
Earth Guard Initiative facilitated sessions on the importance of environmental conservation and prepared students for hands-on planting activities.
Youth, Children, and Women Mobilization at Tabuwa Mosque – Butambala
Ensuring inclusiveness, the initiative engaged community groups including youth, children, and women in tree planting efforts around Tabuwa Mosque.
Tree Planting at Muduma Health Centre III
At Muduma Health Centre III, fruit trees were planted to improve the facility’s environment and promote community wellness.
