About Earth Guard Initiative
Guarding Uganda’s future with sustainable action and community-driven solutions.
Our THE FOUNDATION
Our Founder and Origin
Earth Guard Initiative was established in 2024 by a dedicated group of Ugandan environmental leaders including Director Sserunkuma Yusufu and Co-Director Nassaka Sheilla, who recognized the growing threats of climate change in Uganda. The organization was created to reduce emissions, restore ecosystems, and build resilience against climate-induced migration and water stress, particularly in the Greater Mpigi districts. Their vision was to empower schools, communities, and health centers with sustainable practices, ensuring that Uganda’s people and nature thrive together in harmony

The Goal
Our Mission
Earth Guard Initiative’s mission is to reduce emissions, restore ecosystems, and empower communities across Uganda to live sustainably. We achieve this by leading reforestation campaigns, strengthening water security, promoting waste management, and advancing climate education in schools and villages.
The Outlook
Our Vission
Earth Guard Initiative envisions a resilient Uganda where people and nature thrive together in harmony. We see a future where forests are restored, clean water is accessible, waste is managed responsibly, and youth are empowered to become environmental leaders. Our vision is to build communities that not only adapt to climate change but lead in sustainable action, ensuring that generations to come inherit a greener, healthier, and more hopeful world.
